Surveying Services

Pfeiffer Land Surveying offers an array of surveying services that fit almost any need. Below are descriptions of our specific services. If you do not see what you are looking for on the list, give us a call or schedule a meeting so that we can design a survey job to meet your specific needs.
BOUNDARY

A Boundary Survey is completed to establish the corners of a piece of land. Usually a deed is necessary in the process; however it is only a portion of the information used when surveying. If purchasing the land, it is best to have the survey done prior to purchase. This survey can determine and eliminate potential problems such as encroachments, easements, etc.

OIL & GAS

Oil and Gas Surveys are used to determine locations for oil and gas wells and for oil and gas pipelines.  Most of these surveys are submitted to the Texas Railroad Commission for approval and permitting.

TOPOGRAPHIC

A Topographic Survey records the shape, configuration, roughness, and/or three-dimensional characteristics of the land surface. The completion of this survey will configure the surface of the earth and locate natural and cultural features, showing all features of the land, including but not limited to: roads, streams, fences, and buildings. Topographic surveys are particularly useful to engineers, architects, geologists, etc. and for planning building projects such as roads, dams, pipelines, and buildings.

ELEVATION CERTIFICATES

An Elevation Certificate is used as an official record of the elevation of a building. This determines the insurance rates for structures built after 1-1-1975. Standard information on the structure will be gathered (square footage, name, address, etc.), along with non-standard, more specific data such as longitude, latitude, community information, and photographs. This certificate will provide the necessary information to ensure compliance with community floodplain management ordinances, to support a request for a LOMA, or to determine the proper insurance premium rate, among other things.

CONSTRUCTION

A Construction Survey is conducted to guide the construction of new structures such as buildings or roads. Reference points and markers are usually staked out according to a suitable coordinate system selected for the project and used as these guides.

TITLE SURVEYS

A Title Survey is a survey of property for the purpose of insuring a title to the property; these types of surveys are typically required when buying or selling the property. Title Surveys include easements, improvements, and boundaries, and conform to the requirements of a particular land title insuring agency.
